GAMCO’s™ Reading Explorers Released for Windows 7 and Mac OS X

St. Louis, Missouri, June 23, 2010 – This week GAMCO, a division of Orchard Learning, announced the release of Reading Explorers, a guided reading adventure program, for Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Reading Explorers helps young readers acquire and enhance 42 literal, inferential, critical, and visual reading skills through an engaging multiple-step guided reading approach. Students move along a route on a map as they progress through grade-specific environments covering vocabulary development, focused reading, comprehension questions, and critical thinking activities.

Narrative, informational, persuasive/argumentative, and everyday/work texts are grade-appropriate. The program includes pretests, instruction, practice and application segments that ensure that students are properly challenged.

Reading Explorers is the third program in the GAMCO product line to run on Windows 7. Other Windows 7 compatible GAMCO titles include Principles of Math, released in April 2010, and Worksheet Magic Plus, released in May 2010.
