Orchard Software Wins National Teachers’ Choice Award

ST. LOUIS, Mo., August 29, 2008 -- St. Louis-based Siboney Learning Group’s Orchard Software programs have been named as a winner of the 15th Annual Teachers’ Choice Awards for the Classroom in the education software category.

The Teachers’ Choice Awards single out the very best in classroom-tested, teacher-recommended products. Each year a nationwide panel of teacher-judges names the standouts in books, classroom supplies, educational games, software, websites, and more—everything a teacher needs for his or her classroom. Orchard Software underwent two rounds of rigorous judging and received top ratings to be named a winner.

Orchard’s comprehensive software solution addresses language arts, math, reading, writing, and science and is designed to supplement regular classroom instruction and help schools meet AYP goals. Orchard’s state standards-based formative and benchmark assessments, targeted, motivating instruction, and qualitative data reporting feature make it the choice of educators in more than 8,000 schools serving over 4 million students across the United States.

The Teachers’ Choice Award is an annual award program conducted by Learning magazine, a popular teacher’s resource that provides information on educators’ favorite educational products and companies.
