Note: The Orchard 4.4.3 update has been released and contains everything listed below as well as changes made in Orchard 4.4.2 and additional changes. We recommend upgrading directly to Orchard 4.4.3 and using this article for reference purposes only.
Requirements: Orchard 4.4 for Windows or Mac OS X and Internet access
The Orchard 4.4.1 update is available to customers that currently have Orchard 4.4 for Windows or Mac OS X installed. This update includes the following:
Windows and Mac OS X
Management System
- Sets the "Central Server" role for sites that were converted from an older version of Orchard Gold Star.
- Prevents usage of Orchard Gold Star if all sites within a cluster have expired.
- System logging modified to properly handle more than 1000 messages.
Laptop Sync and Portable Drive Transfer
- Allows for connections between Orchard Gold Star versions 4.4 and 4.4.1 to ensure everything works properly if the server is updated while students are checked out.
- An error message within the product was modified to match the product documentation.
Skill Trees
- Principles of Math: Advanced (213MC):
- Corrects the grade range shown when program information is displayed for this Skill Tree.
Windows Only
Skill Trees
- Modified black screen executable that is used to hide the operating system desktop so that Skill Trees could not be hidden behind it.
Mac OS X Only
Skill Trees
- Perimeter, Area, & Volume (15SB):
- Converts settings between older versions of this Skill Tree and the new version that was released with Orchard 4.4.
- Maps skills between older versions of this Skill Tree and the new version that was released with Orchard 4.4.
There are two ways in which to install this update:
- Use the Orchard Gold Star Manager
- Log into the Orchard Manager as the administrator user.
- Choose Check for Updates... from the File menu.
- Click Apply Update and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Download the appropriate attachment below (recommended for users without Internet access at an Orchard workstation or with multiple standalone computers)
- Click to download Win_441_Install.zip for Windows or Mac_441_Install.zip for Mac OS X.
- Unzip the file once it has been downloaded.
- Double-click on the application to launch it.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
